After my brother was laid low by the business end of his mountain bike handlebar, I was left with a challenge. It was up to me to finish the rest of the hikes for our book, and the number left to do was substantial. Since then, I’ve blasted through these hikes with reckless abandon, crisscrossing the Twin Cities back country like a coked-up Bear Grylls. When Labor Day came, I hit pause on the remaining hikes for a bit and switched gears into the writing portion of the project, which I’ve tackled more like a coked-up Bill Bryson, I guess.
But the time has come to put the last red Xs on my hitlist and finish this business. Today I tackle the final two hikes for our book before turning to writing-mode permanently. So basically, this is my jam right now.
See you on the other side, amigos.
